The Missing Piece

I put together a puzzle with my kids last week. It was a 300 piece puzzle, measuring 24” x 18”.

So not huge, but it took us a little over an hour.

It probably stretched our seven-year old's capacity for attention and skill. She had difficulty picking up a piece and seeing where it fit. Yet when I set her up with a piece, she got it just fine.

There were three different pictures of this puzzle, and when we finished the first two smaller pictures, we were still missing one piece from each.

I wasn't worried because we could have easily mis-sorted it at the beginning, thinking it belonged somewhere else.

Yet when I finished up the big picture, we were still missing one piece. It wasn’t complete without that piece!

I searched the table.

I searched the floor.

I searched the box.

I searched the kids.

You see, when I was in college, I did a puzzle with some friends in the student center. It took us about 4 hours. We left it during lunch to come back and finish up that afternoon.

When we got to the end, we were down to one piece, just like last week.

We searched the table.

We searched the floor.

We searched the box.

We should have searched our friends.

We couldn’t find it anywhere. Then one of the other students who was playing pool nearby walked over and put the last piece in.

He had snuck it while we were at lunch so that he could do the last piece.

The puzzle wasn’t complete without that piece. We just didn’t know where to look.

Isn't that how it goes with our lives sometimes?

We know we are missing a piece somewhere.

We even search for it, but we don't know where to look.

Sometimes it takes someone we know to walk over and help us find that missing piece.

Sometimes that person has been through what we are going through.

Sometimes that person just sees things from outside of our situation.

What is it for you?

What piece are you missing?

Are you ready for someone to help you find that missing piece?

Maybe it's a mindset shift you need to make that will help you move forward in any area of life.

Maybe it's seeing something that's blocking you from moving forward.

Maybe it's learning a new habit to help you move forward faster.

Let's discover what piece you're missing so you can keep making progress!

What do you need to do?

Click the button and let's set up a time to discover your missing piece.
